Basketball Rankings

  1. Sanford (8-3)The Lady Warriors have won 2 in a row since a narrow defeat to Cardinal O’Hara (Pa.) 48-46. Sanford’s last win was a dominating performance over Tatnall 66-12.  Next game at home versus Padua Academy Friday, January 22nd 7:00pm tip-off.
  2. Ursuline (7-4) – National power Neumann-Goretti of Philadelphia handled the Lady Raiders 52-37 in the Blue Star Tournament.  Prior to that loss Ursuline had won three in a row defeating Catholic rival St. Elizabeth’s 60-38, Archbishop Ryan (Pa.) 55-37 and edging Cardinal O’Hara (Pa.) 35-34.  Next game away at St. Mark’s, Friday January 29th, 7:30pm tip-off.
  3. Concord (11-0) – The Lady Raiders of Concord defeated Archmere Academy 50-22 holding the Auks to just 11 points in the last three quarters.  Junior guard Aahliyah Selby scored 13 points and sophomore guard Zhan’e Snow helped out with 15 points of her own.  Concord visits Appoquinimink Friday, January 22nd, 5:45pm tip-off.
  4. Caravel (7-3) – The Lady Buccaneers have won three in row, last defeating St. Elizabeth’s 47-43, behind junior forward Grace Lange’s 14 points and sophomore guard Maia Bryson chipping in 16 points of her own.  Caravel plays Trenton Catholic (NJ) in the MLK Showcase Saturday, January 23rd, 1:30pm tip-off.
  5. St. Elizabeth (6-2) After beating cross-town Catholic rival Padua 71-50 the Lady Vikings lost to Caravel Academy 47-43 last Friday.  Next game at home versus St. Mark’s Thursday, January 21st, 7:15pm tip-off. 

  6. Caesar Rodney (10-3) The Lady Riders have won 5 straight last defeating Dover 44-36 with junior guard Alissa Haith scoring 14 points.  Next game home versus Cape Henlopen Friday, January 29th, 7:15pm tip-off. 
  7. Hodgson (9-1) – The Lady Silver Eagles have won 9 in a row, the last three wins have been against Flight-A opponents Delcastle, A.I. DuPont and Middletown.  Next game home versus Polytech, Thursday, January 21st, 7:00pm tip-off.
  8. St. Thomas More (9-1) – The Lady Ravens have won 8 in a row, edging Milford 53-49 using freshman Aniah Patterson’s 23 points to help guide the way.  Next game away at Sussex Central, Thursday, January 21st, 5:00pm tip-off.
  9. Milford (10-2) – The Lady Buccaneers had their 4-game winning streak snapped, losing to St. Thomas More 53-49. Junior guard Rajene Bowe scored 16 points in the close loss.  Next game Milford hosts Delmar, Tuesday, January 26th, 6:15pm tip-off.
  10. William Penn (8-2) – The Lady Colonials have won 2 in a row since losing to top-ranked Sanford.  William Penn’s last win was a 65-41 drubbing of St. Mark’s, junior point-guard Jah-ni Jackson scored 21 points in the victory.  Next game home versus #7 Hodgson, Saturday, January 23rd, 2:30pm tip-off.
