Delaware State Prep News was founded by William Mace. A Wilmington native, William has an unbelievable passion for prep athletics. After graduating from Brandywine High School, Mr. Mace went on to earn a degree from Wilmington University in Sport’s Management while juggling collegiate basketball. After graduation, he returned to his roots, where he coached football and baseball within the Brandywine School District. He noticed there was a need for deeper coverage of local prep sports throughout the state. Although the idea of a website reporting on Delaware Prep athletics state wide has been ongoing for years, it has become a reality in 2015 with a little nudge from his wife. Kim Mace (Smith), also a Wilmington native she graduated from Concord High School in 2006. Similar to William she played multiple high school sports continuing her athletic career at Widener University playing Volleyball while studying Communications. Both are excited about the beginning of this endeavor and how it can improve prep athletic exposure in the state of Delaware.
